The first two episodes were great. All of the quality in terms of levity and action of the third season, and i like the steam punkish direction they went in to "modernize" it.

Just hate having to wait to the end of the month to see episode 3.

I wasn't sure I would like the new series, but the first two episodes have me hooked all over again.

There's been a few things about this season that bugged me, but overall I'm happy with the season and the finale. I look forward to season 2.

I think it suffered from the shorter season format, especially when they spent 4/12 episodes focusing on the bending sport. Making the seasons self contained didn't help either. See: deus ex lite happy ending.

Otherwise though, it was great - interesting characters, fantastically choreographed fights, touches of mature storytelling, etc.

And to my surprise, Tenzin was voiced by J.K. Simmons!

I loved it. I like that Korra has a different personality then Aang and isn't just a cookie cutter version of him. Kind of waiting to see her trigger the avatar state for the first time though.

Also, I want a polar bear dog.
