I've had this for about four days now. It's a pretty good time. I've cleared all of the story missions and some of the free play. I like the bounty hunter missions except that Greedo keeps jumping in the way when Boba's trying to get shit done.

PS. For those who don't have this game, his backpack does have jets.

This is my take, reposted here from the "Gamecube games" thread now that this game has a thread of it's very own:

Quote:
I picked up Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It's a lot like the 1st one, but slightly better it seems. The stories are different, of course. They made small changes to the sounds, graphics are pretty identical. There is some more complexity in that you can drive around in vehicles, which is cool. I've driven a Land Speeder and an AT-ST so far, and have ridden a couple of animals.

They also have areas that are only accessible to Storm Troopers and areas accessible only to Bounty Hunters. Same kind of deal where in Free Play you can get to things that you cannot reach in Story mode.

There seems to be even more humor in this one.

I haven't played it a ton, so I don't have the full feel of it yet, but all in all I'd say it's a sequel with small tweaks. If you liked the first one, this is more of that.

I agree, I get to play it with my girlfriend sometimes. Both of us suck in the first chapter of Empire Strikes Back, though. I'm thinking of getting another controller so we have two and I don't have to use the keyboard.

It's available for PC.

We have it for XBox, and Kellion and I have a good time, though much of it is spent killing the crap out of each other.

I thought maybe there was a keyboard & mouse interface to the gamecube. I've considered, but not too seriously, developing such a thing. It's exactly the kind of thing I'd do if I had more time to spend on interesting but meaningless crap.

sigh.
