Just got through watching the finale, absolutely loved it, no complaints whatsoever. Great anime. _________________ "The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games"

So I went to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen tonight, and one of the teaser trailers was for a live action film of this. And man did it look badass. The advertised date was summer 2010.

I've never been into anime. I just never found a storyline that caught me, but one of my roommates got season 2 of Avatar on dvd for Christmas and I'm really enjoying the story. I was somewhat interested in it because I had seen the trailer for the live action movie, but now I really want to see it.

So, I'm on ep 17 of book 3 now. I gotta admit I wasn't expecting much from Nickelodeon, but I am pretty impressed. It has earned a special place as one of my favorite cartoons.

Just finished watching Book 3 last night. There's only one huge plot hole that everyone was overlooking. Sozen's comet is supposed to make all the firebenders way more badass and Team Avatar is so nervous about it, but everyone seems to forget that as the Avatar, Aang is also a firebender. So while the firelord's power is dramatically increased, so is Aang's. Not really crucial to the story over all, but it was just one of those small annoyances.
Other then that, I absolutely loved the show. |

I'm done. Loved the show. Now for the big question. What the hell am I gonna watch now? That, and... Is the search for Zuko's mother enough to make a small animated movie?

Story-wise, there's potential for more. The search for Zuko's mother, the rebuilding of the Air Nomads, Fire Nation rebellion and possibly Ozai/Azula escaping, are just a few that come to mind. Ultimately though, I don't think they could have a finale that would top the finale of season 3, so it's probably just better that it ended where it did. _________________ Oh. Aang wasn't really a firebender until the very end, and even then, just because he was the avatar doesn't mean he can blow over the entire fire nation and be in more than one place at a time. I don't really see this as a plot hole at all. _________________ "The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games"

I'm not saying that he would be more skilled at it than the firelord, or even Zuko. Just that the increase in the Fire Nation's power from the comet would also have increased the power of all firebenders, including Aang and the members of the White Lotus. They were planning on waiting until after the comet had passed to avoid fighting the Firelord at the height of his power, but they would have received the same benefits to their firebenders. That was really my only point.
