Very cool movie. A bit odd at first, but very entertaining, and action packed. In a way, it's kinda like a twisted, sub-titled Gangs of New York. Definitly worth checking it out. Very Happy

this was a funny movie. i was it a while ago with some friends and we all agreed that it was awsome. they did over-do the "Chinese float-for-insanely-long-amounts-of-time" style, but it still was good

There's a lot of that going on, and I think the only movie I've liked that style in was Hero. At least in that one those sequences took place during mental combat and other situations where it was easier to suspend belief and maintains some sense of realism about the story.

Hero, by the way, is an awesome movie. My favorite kung-fu type flick ever. It's really a work of art, and a great flick.

I was expecting kung fu hustle to be funnier.
The gang danced only 1 time Sad

It was decent but I was expecting more humor I guess or maybe I missed all the jokes.

Mishlai did you see house of a 1000 daggers?

While I haven't seen Kung-Fu Hustle, I have seen Hero (wonderful movie, though I always figured the high flying acts were the actual battles just being played out before hand... but that's beside the point) and Shaolin Soccer (great flick!).

While I admit there is alot of the suspended in air thing in these movies, that came about a long time ago. Back when I was in elementary school, I used to watch kung-fu movies and they were always using the insanely high jumps and other such acrobatics. Some movies I recall (but not the names) involved jumps so high and long that they opponents would fight each other almost minutes at a time before landing.

To me, you can't have a kung-fu movie without that stuff. It's like a Jim Carrey movie without overacting... unheard of!

I saw it, I liked it, but it needed more dancing.

I saw House of Flying Daggers. It's rentable. Nothing great, nothing awful. They stretch reality substantially, some of its cool. Let me prep you with this though: The story is about a girl and 2 boys, so don't get wrapped up in what appears to be a story line, cuz it isn't going anywhere.
