Finally got registered and everything. I'm going to try to fire it up tonight.

The picture tutorial on the website was quite informative.

I like the guide on targetting and maneuvering.

Anyway, I bought my Destroyer skill, but was disconnected when I went to pick it up. I still need to do alot of mining and missions to make the rest of the 500K I need for the Destroyer though.

But at least I'll have one!

Been watching some of the movies on the site. Reminds me of Homeworld. Still, it appeals to me that you only control one of those ships.

Storyline missions are pretty cool, a lot of "go get this and bring it there" but they're intro missions into covert ops. I started them when the Eyeshore region got hit with strip miners.

If anyone plays this game, my little brother has his own corporation.

Although, I've never seen him wear a shoe on his head.

So I decided to pay for a month as I like the idea of this game. It's old and polished, and the player base is solid.

It's just not like any other MMORPG. It's more of a giant sandbox game. You don't have to be focused on the screen to play it and you can train abilities while offline.

ChaosAlex plays it some. Apparently the real fun is in joining a corporation, and there are a few different ways to approach the game - focus on mining, or salvage, support roles, and so on. As I understand it the value of teamwork is really high.

I couldn't get past the first month myself. I like the concept but the gameplay wasn't intense enough for me.

This game has the highest death penalty of any MMO that I know of, so I'm sure that will get your heart pumping at times.

Oh, and it's a good thing that you can train offline. High end stuff can take more than a year to reach.

Sort of a big day in Eve. The next expansion in the summer will be when you can walk around in stations, but you get to design your character now and take a portrait, replacing the old one. I'll upload some comparisons when I get through all eight of my characters (I pay for my accounts with in-game money) and fix my planet industry as that also changed.
