You guys can camp all you want but the estimation right now for getting a Non-Preordered box is Feb.

MS only shipped 1/2 of the original promised amount and now they are saying that the back up shipments are going to be sparse as well. They are trying to create the Xbox Fevor by lack of units. You know, try to get people to mob each other for one. It's really sad, but that's all they have going for them is Hype. I don't think it's going to do nearly as well as the hype says so.

But if you want to camp, be my guest...it's gonna be a cold, lonely winter.

I dont think any single store got more than 20 in the entire US. From what I heard from my friend who is a bit of an industry insider is that they are going to release about half as many as they did intially again between now and Christmas and then make a bigger push in early January.

I pre ordered my 32meg Diamond TNT 2 Ultra back in may/june 1999.

If you try to get a new video card on the release date it is semi difficult and Very expensive
the like 7800 whatever was $700
I don't even read up on the new vid cards anymore they are too expensive.

new cpu's are also hard to get and very expensive.
people are not in line at stores because the only place to get them is online.

the one guy at work got a xbox 360 at Sears, he said they only had 2.

I have only ever had to wait on a part because I went to a computer show looking for it. Then I went home to ordered one online and get it within the normal shipping time. Other than that one item, I have never EVER been forced to wait in line or, failing that, 3 months for the restock for anything I have wanted computer related.

Ok this has bugged me for a while. I've seen this shit with EVERYTHING. The Game photos for sale, just the box for sale, not just for games but everything else. I'm into RC cars as I've stated before, My current truck is a traxxas revo, I used to see 'Traxxas Revo Truck Box' for sale on ebay with the same turn-out, 15+ bids. Do you think people actually bid on these things, or was it a scam with the sellers friends bidding? Do you think if people actually bid. they might have noticed and decided not to pay/etc? Anyone ever heard of/scene articles about legal action being taken against someone who realised what they bid on wasn't what they thought, then refused to pay? Just kinda curious, as I've always wondered what kind of retards can't read......

Shadenfruede:

I am hoping that public opinion of the XBOX 360 plummets rapidly post Christmas as children across the nation find the Santa has brought them a blue screen of death this year.

Microsoft, in a panic, will make the 360 widely available to try to cash in on the dwindling market. They won't have many buyers because the 360 will be available on e-bay for less.

And finally, Bill will curse the day that he decided to short supply this much coveted Christmas gift, and he'll wish to God that he sold as many as possible before everyone talked to someone who had thrown theirs in the trash and decided against buying their own.

Is that wrong of me?
