Does anyone know of any other animes that are like Please Teacher? Twins was funny but it wasn't as good as Teacher on quite a few levels for me. I suppose that I should add that those levels don't include perversion.

Shuffle is kind of echhi but it was really damn funny. Kind of like a milder version of Green Green TV if you have seen that.

I want to hate Blood Plus. I really do. Blood: The Last Vampire is one of my favorite all time anime short films. And they completely ruined the atmosphere and mood by creating a series that is just more of the same crappy anime shite storytelling. But for some reason, I seem to be enjoying it.

Recent Anime that I have watched that are amazing(in no particular order):

Guardian of the Sacred Spirit
D. gray Man
Dennou Coil
5 Centimeters Per Second
Karas
Basilisk
NHK

I am sure I am forgetting a couple that I will list later when they come to mind. Also, do yourself a favor and don't watch Afro-ken.

If no one has mentioned them here already,

Dennou Coil - .hack//sign but everyone does more than just stand around and talk. It's about children solving a cyber-mystery in their town related to their pasts.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - from Gainax. Embrace the giant robot genre cliches and strap yourself in for some hot blooded, manly action. Every episode is better than the last.

current watch list

Hakaba Kitaro - odd but entertaining
Seto no Hanayome - I didn't think i would like this one but good!
Rosario + Vampire - see above message
Kaiji - dark side of humanity but an excellent drama
Bamboo Blade - typical non-serious high school anime about kendo
Moyashimon - another odd subject but still entertaining

Soul Eater

This just started in Japan. Might be my favorite animation ever and this anime gets huge style points. I am crazy excited about this anime!

Yep, but I am not at all hyped for it.

A) the WiiNES is a joke
B) anime games are a joke
C) SquEnix is probably the most over rated video game company there is and their games outside of the RPG realm are a joke

Stop derailing this thread and watch the anime, jerk!

Ok, let me get this straight - there's a live action Death Note movie and an animated one. I haven't finished the anime yet, but it's easily my favorite series thus far. I know I'll watch both regardless, but which one should I watch first?

The anime goes on longer and has a much different ending than the movie. Personally I thought the ending in the movie was better (well, movies, since there are 2). I would watch the movies first.

I meant which movie should I watch first? I'm already going to finish the anime before either, since I'm more than half way through.
