Peter Jackson is apparently working on some Halo game, not Halo 3.

Sweeeeeet. Also, the notion of a Halo movie both excites and terrifies me. Kind of like Spyder's wife.

The Halo Movie is being done by Peter Jackson Studios so perhaps its the movie version of the game?

I have to say that doesn't excite me much. I love Halo, and I love RTS, but the trailer didn't pique my interest.

I also question pretty seriously whether the Halo units have sufficient complexity and diversity to make for a challenging RTS...

Plus, Warcraft II is the standard, with Starcraft setting the high water mark. If you can't land it in that range, then it's crap as far as I'm concerned.

Really? I always considered C&C: Red Alert the standard. It was certainly the first one that I ever spent hours upon hours playing against other people.

Which, of course, brings us right back to Warcraft being the standard.

Red Alert definitely made the cut. I think Starcraft sets the bar so high that we'd never be satisified with another game. I want it, but I'm just not going to set myself up for that kind of dissapointment.

Curious to see the new Total Annihilation style game (Supreme Commander I think) when it comes out though. I never played TA, but it's spoken of very highly by every RTS'er who ever played it.

The new Company of Heros is good. It is made by THQ who made Warhammer 40k.

I'll check that out. I never played Warhammer... good I assume? Didn't someone post recently about another warhammer coming out - an RTS as I recall.
