Cool trailer I saw on tv for Gears of War. _________________ The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. - Albert Einstein

Resheph and I were discussing the badassness of the song the other night. It's my myspace song for the time being, and you can download it from there:

The two really compliment each other well, the video and music.

Edit: Didn't mention that it's a remake of a Tears for Fears song which can be found here:

I've loved that song ever since I heard it at the end of Donnie Darko. _________________ An still more glorious dawn awaits: not a sunrise, but a galaxy rise - a morning filled with four hundred billion suns: the rising of the Milky Way. - Sagan |

I hate R.E.M. Always have. The original Tears for Fears version is so much better.
Come to think of it, the Kill Switch Klick version beats them all. _________________ "The cheese stands alone." - Madhatte |

I didn't know that was an R.E.M. song.
I pretty much hate everything that band has ever done, except for once in a while when I am very surprised, this being one of those cases. _________________ The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. - Albert Einstein

i like a lot of old REM, like orange and earlier, but since then its all been down hill. specifically, 'the end of the world as we know it' and 'stand' are two of my favorites. ohh, and 'this one goes out to the one i love'. actually, come to think of it, those are the only three REM songs that i like, thought the song on the GOW trailer is pretty dang good, too. _________________ A west bean pays the fish a soup. |

Why are we discussing R.E.M? Did they cover it too?

REM is the band you're hearing while watching the Gears of War trailer. _________________ "The cheese stands alone." - Madhatte |

Um...YES IT IS. That cover was from ages ago. Like anyone can ever mistake Stipes' voice for anyone else's. Here's a Q-Tip. _________________ "The cheese stands alone." - Madhatte |

Thank you for the Q-tip, Midg. I miss A Tribe Called Quest.
What's the premise of thise game? Undead/supernatural invasion or aliens?
On the topic of Mad World, no matter who sings it, it always kind of creeps me out.

I think they're lying to us. Unless the point was to sound exactly like REM. Because it does. Listen to both, trust me. I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED! _________________ "The cheese stands alone." - Madhatte |
