I didn't even plan to get the game for a few months, if ever, but I gotta say I've really enjoyed it so far as well.

I'm only 30 minutes or so in, but so far it mostly just seems like, "Yep. That's another Diablo"

That's as much praise as it is complaint. I'll see how I feel as I play more.

Got a guest pass from one of the guys in my D&D campaign, so I can at least play the first Act to tide me over until I scrape the cash together for the full game.

On Act III now. I have officially ran out of toilet paper, underwear, towels, paper towels, and my cat is pretty upset at me.

I don't understand how everyone is so upset over this game. They KNEW it was always online before they bought it and they should know by now that pretty much every game that involves a server has really shitty launch nights. It's to be expected, even by Blizzard. Then you have people complaining about being able to beat the game in five hours. My cousin and I have been playing together for about ten hours now and we're just getting to Act III.

I agree with you, the only reason people are making a big deal about it is because it's called Diablo 3, and the previous installments had offline functionality. If it was called anything else, that would be overlooked.

People need to relax.

It really shouldn't be a surprise anymore that the Diablo franchise is going online. It is a good way for Blizz to prevent the rampant piracy of the Campaign version of the game.

I don't get people that do one single playthrough and then wait for something else. There are, what, 5 classes to play? 4 difficulties? In MMOs, it's the same with people that play one single class and never ever even try another just to see what they can do. These people complain to others that they aren't doing their job in the group when they have no first-hand experience on it.

Been dying all morning. Diablo is brutal as a wizard. Had to change all my skills to defensive stuff. Mirror Image, Force Wave, and Prism ftw. It's kinda like being an Matrix version of Emma Frost w/ force powers.

True Story:
First words to come out of my mouth and typed to my cousin when I got Chain Lighting, "Powa! Unlimited powa!!!!!!!"

That's not unique to wizard, even as a barbarian I have to kite quite often.

I set up a mumble server and played with my work team last night. Definitely a better experience with friends.

Grrr... The 3007 error every 3 to 10 minutes... <sigh> Yeah, this really makes me want to buy this game.

Weird, Mongo. Haven't had that error since the first hour of launch.
