Just got asked if I want to hangout by two Spanish girls form last night, Pilar and Alejandra. Side note, I have no earthly idea which name goes with which girl.

I had that experience with the twins for a few weeks. It's a pretty easy one to play off until you figure it out.

Also, good job.

Samantha, the girl I've been seeing for the past year or so moved in yesterday. I'd ask everyone to pray for me, but I think we all know that it's her you should be worried about.

Aly and I bought a house and are planning a family. It's scary sometimes, but I have good reason to believe that this marriage will go the distance.

Also, she's pissed off that it's patch day. That helps.

2 quick points:

- I think this is the first time, in the history of this thread, that it has not been on the first page of the forum (well it will be after I post this, but I found it on the second page). Maybe we are all actually starting to figure out our personnal relationships a little bit better?

- Almost 33 years and I stil haven't been in a situation resembling this one:

I don't know about figuring out our personal relationships as far as I'm concerned. However, I have noticed in the last six or so months that I'm constantly growing angrier and bitter toward relationships, the women around me, and myself.

Toward the end of last year I thought I was on top of the world. I enjoyed my job for the most part. It paid me enough to live on and enough to dick around with. I loved the people in the DA's office. It was like having a second family in a way. I had a girl in my life I really liked and thought she felt the same way. We did a lot of crap together and spent a lot of personal time together. Gifts out of the blue and phone calls at work. Then 2013 came and this year has been just constantly going downhill.

They couldn't keep me on at the DA's because of the mayor's new budget (which most departments are threatening to sue the city over). I'm not so upset about that. I knew the likelihood of my position sticking around was slim-to-none and gov't jobs come and go based on budgets. But relationships is where 2013 has really been fucking people over around me.

Apparently, the girl I really liked I guess was just after my attention more than affection. It's basically like I was her way of passing the time until one of the other guys she really wanted to be with was out of his relationship. Other stuff happened that'd just be one long wall of text but eventually I confronted her. All I got from pouring my heart out was "I see..." and that was the last straw on the "I-don't-really-give-a-fuck-about-you" stack. This tends to be the story of my life as far as relationships go with one exception.

My roommate's GF of two years cheated on him with a close friend of ours. It took me a few months before I would talk to her again. She considered me like a big brother and she was like a little sister I never had so I took this pretty hard. My roommate may be a college dropout but he has a good job he enjoys, a steady income, and (for once) was loyal in the relationship. This other guy has basically no job experience, never had an income, and is just plain stupid sometimes. Clearly, I think too logically when I try to understand relationships because this still baffles me.

Another roommate's GF just broke up with him. She's a friend of the other roommate's ex. She broke up with him because she told him she still had to sort out her feelings with her ex-fiance. This rubs me the wrong way because she was so obsessed with trying to get together with my roommate. She'd constantly message me on facebook to ask if I thought my roommate liked her or what can she do to try to get something going with him. Everything seemed to be going fine for a couple months then out of the blue "I still have feelings for my ex to get over." That just made me want to yell out "Then why the fuck did you press so hard to get this relationship going?!"

So, in a way, I've lost two families over the last six months. The three girls use to come over often and we'd have really fun board game nights, movie nights, and parties. Now the house is really quiet and feels empty. I can feel myself getting more angry and bitter by the day. I should have known better with umm... girl A. She was still young, immature, and I still wonder about innocent. Girl B was straight up betrayal that shouldn't have affected anyone but my roommate and her. The issues surrounding the break up though has created a big divide in our friendship circles though. Girl C didn't leave on a sour note. My other roommate doesn't seem broken-hearted over it, but I'm still very annoyed by her reasoning.

I'm more secluded now than I have been in years. One roommate actually said I was the embodiment of apathy. Since then I've tried to be somewhat more involved in my friends' lives by talking to them more, but these three event made an impression. It's no secret I really admire Batman but I've never been really compared to him until recently. One of the roommates mentioned it was funny because I'm in criminal justice, I hardly leave my room anymore, I rarely talk and when I do it's usually something rude or smartass, I'm the most bitter person in the house, and I brood constantly.

This has made a huge impact on why I wanted to join the GBI and hopefully be assigned to the east coast. I want to get away from Columbus/Phenix City and this Valley Blues (that what I call it). I try to keep my head above the negativity, but I'm groomed to look at the negative side of life. I try to be the good nice guy and it never works out, but I can't be the bad guy because I don't have it in me (I've tried). No one seems to be worth the time, trust, compassion, or love in this valley.

a) Women are nasty hobbitses - wicked, tricksy, false.

b)I had a professor in a human sexuality course once say "Whoever cares the least in a relationship has the most power in it".

c) And of course "You know, there's a million fine looking women in the world, dude. But they don't all bring you lasagna at work. Most of 'em just cheat on you."

There are a few good ones out there, some that really didn't mean to hurt you and things just didn't work out, but a lot of a). You just have to keep b) in mind, guard your heart, not giving it away so easily as if you're sweet it'll be especially hard on you, and know that this "game" doesn't follow any manner of logic. Then just keep trudging along until you find someone who brings you proverbial lasagna at work.

It's all good, I'm still curmudgeonly and misanthropic.

Not being single does not remove such character traits. Trust me.

Turns out sarcasm is integral to your being, single or not. Now that I'm single though, I find that it annoys the piss out of me when my roommate brings his girlfriend over to snuggle and watch TV. I think it is a sign of maturity that the raging jealousy that I have is over the snuggling and not the sex, but even still, I find it annoying.

You should just snuggle right on up to him on his other side. Let his girlfriend know there's some competition.

I could, but that would be assuming that driving a miata makes him gay, and he claims it doesn't. Of course he also claims it is an S2000, but that is a different story. Oh, and I like girls. I even drive a Subaru, which as everyone knows is the vehicle of choose for those who like women. Some friends of mine claim it is for women who like women, but I don't believe them.

Who said anything about being gay and liking men? This is about being annoyed and annoying the annoyer. You're annoyed that they are snuggling so you should make it a three way snuggle and annoy them. It's not gay if it's in a three way.

Forester. The ex-wife had to have it for those harsh Seattle winters. Or she was secretly a lesbian. I'm not really sure on that count...

Back to being single again (Robyn and I decided that we needed to take a 3rd try at it... just in case we hadn't kicked our own asses enough on the first two tries)

On the plus side... single again!

Looks like you need to make about 2300 posts. Should be fairly simply. Just list off all the freakishly weird robo habits of Khim and you should be there soon enough.
