After thinking about it for a while this weekend, I really believe this game is taking more from my life than it is giving. I usually don't even know if I'm having fun or not when I'm playing, and its been like this for a while. I'm considering qutting MMOs until at least FFXIV and then deciding what I want to do at that time.
If you don't see me for a while, I wanted you guys to know why. |

I think you've just got yourself a bit burnt out, Vawn, with your focus on your Amano and then pimping out the rest of your gear. You've been too busy farming to do "fun" stuff.
Maybe you just need a bit of a break, but the trouble is finding something "fun" left for you to do in the game. Now that you've got all the fancy gear, you need to find big things to kill with it!
It's been fun playing with you though, and best of luck with whatever you decide! |

Yeah, I'm already thinking I was just burnt out. I took four days off and last night I thought "I'm not playing FFXI, lets get started on all these games I've been neglecting." Then I realized, I didn't feel like playing anything, so I watched TV, and started to remember TV is boring.
Then I started nagging my wife to go out and do something and she started telling me we need to try not to go out more than once a week if we're going to save enough for me to stay home with the kids next year. So, I went back looking for a game to play, couldn't find any and thought about maybe there was one to buy, but that goes back to spending money. So I started slowly remembering why I play this game, I'm never pacing around the house when my wife is busy looking for something to do.
I'll see you guys later. So, um, sign me up for Sunday missions. |

Now I'm done. Content IDs have been cancelled. I didn't really want to quit, but a few things going on in life made it no longer possible to keep playing. Best of luck guys. |

It wasn't just because Aerec overtook you today on the FFXIAH ratings, was it?
Sorry to see you go (again). I hope everything works out well for you! |

Sigh. My job was just being silly. My current program is downsizing and at first I was told I would likely be out of a job by the end of the year. Now, I'm told this is not true and I will be able to go to a "waiting area" while I look for a new program to join and my job is safe.
So.... for the time being, chalk this up as another false alarm and I plan to keep playing FFXI when I have time, which has becoming less and less with the baby and my wife's residency. |

Haven't logged in for a while and don't see it happening for a bit, so I cancelled Ijin's and Demin's content ID's for now. |
