I <3 my druid so hard. Stealthing, bursting, and early flight all mean that I can pick my fights and finish quests hella fast. I grind way faster than I did with my lock. Even though I could kill multiple things at once with a lock, the bodies would be strewn everywhere and it took forever to loot.

Gathering herbs in flight form (and quest items) is super convenient. Traveling faster than other players helps too, obviously. Healing and running mechanisms mean that I rarely die.

I would say the druid isn't as good at taking elites. I can do it, but fearspam makes that cake if you've cleared a safe area.

I remember Haven saying Shaman were OP, what classes does everyone love and why?

I used to be a feral druid in TBC, but now I'm a Death Knight, and I have no intention of ever rerolling. The resource system is the best one in the game in my opinion. Runes and Runic Power just work so well. Tanking and DPSing are both really dynamic and have a decent skill curve to execute well, especially with all the tools we have for various situations. What separates a really good DK tank from an average one is using all their skills at the best times: AMS, IBF, Death Pact, Empower Rune Weapon, Chains of Ice, Death and Decay; Death Grip is such an amazing and unique skill that can be used in so many different ways.

We also have an interrupt, a ranged silence that can also double as an interrupt on bosses, and as a blood elf I have Arcane Torrent for an additional silence / interrupt on bosses. Our self healing is amazing if used properly and I can solo so many things that even as a druid I may have struggled with. I've solo'd the 2nd boss in Heroic Pit of Saron twice now from fail PUGs that died to Poison Nova, and it was so, so awesome.

There have just been so many situations where I have done some crazy shit by being really creative with the tools I have as a DK, and I absolutely love it. Even as a DPS there are so many unique ways to use all your abilities to excel it's amazing.

I still love my Shammy, and I'll always have a soft spot for Warlocks. I still need to really give Druid a go, I just haven't been able to get past the first 20 levels, because they suck SO hard.

I hear ya, Haven. I have about 5 druids... none are at 20.

For me, it's the Paladin for their versatility. Catyana has been tanking since before paladin were really given the full array of tanking abilities they now have. But being able to do well enough DPS (should I get better gear) and great healing (when I get practice and gear), I could fill any roll needed in short order. And seeing as they boosted the hell out of damage dealing capabilities for a prot paladin, PvP isn't really as tiresome as it used to be for me.

I have always been one who would prefer playing the "support" characters to actual DPS or tanking (though it is a niche I am destined to play), I'm just saddened by the path that Blizzard has taken in (how I see it) dumbing down the game. Sure, anyone can play a DPS class, but gone are the days when players can effectively respond to unexpected adds with appropriate crowd control. Thus why I've lost my enjoyment of the Hunter I had a year or so ago.

I had the most fun i've ever had playing WoW as a druid. I was playing resto and doing PvP for the most part. Was just so awesome to toss up HoTs and then run run run run. I do have a 70 shammy and 80 shammy so I suppose thats really my favorite. I just always loved rocking shit in the face with enhance and owning PvP with elemental.

That makes me sad too. You have to be at end game content before people are careful. Having gold and boa from their mains - it makes it so that groups can steamroll a dungeon, and let's face it: that's way faster than pulling carefully.

Especially with the magic bag of blues, it's all "let's get this done."

Yeah, I'm kind of hating the character I made on the server that my cousins play on. Re-hashing the first 20 levels of druid is horrible, and I miss all my BoA gear. I keep trying to play ranged characters and I'm just not digging it. Even with my hunter, I just feel bored standing there. I've played pally, warrior, DK, rogue, druid, and even my shaman was all melee. Druid is still my favorite I think. I love playing rogues, as anyone that ever gamed with me on the ship can attest, so I feel comfortable in the melee dps aspect they have, but I still have the flexibility of doing whatever else I need: heals, boomkin, CC, tank, etc...
