Ah. Ok. I've only been doing heroics since the Dungeon Finder came out.

If I'm not mistaken, 4.0.3 is tomorrow. This is not to be confused with 4.0.3a, which is the Cataclysm patch on Dec 7.

Patches are always on Tuesdays, and 4.0.3a will be before Dec 7th, though they haven't given a specific date.

Shattering just happened on the PTR, and the latest build is flagged as release, so there is a very high possibility that 4.0.3a is happening next week.

Does that mean Cata would be released two weeks early? Wasn't it slated for Dec 7?

To clarify, 4.0.3a is the Shattering and will change the face of Azeroth, however, all of the Cataclysm exclusive content will not be available until the xpac launches. This includes:

- Old world flying
- Level cap increase
- New areas / raids / dungeons
- New races

It's worth mentioning though, if you have been thinking of levelling a new alt, next week would be the time to do it. With the old world changed, so are all the quests, AND, all the new race / class combos (such as Night elf mages and Blood elf warriors) will be available.

And the XP required to level from 71 to 80 will be reduced by 20%. I didn't really understand this one as you get mad XP from quests in Wrath.

UNDEAD HUNTER FTW!

They did the same thing to the XP from 60-70 when WotLK came out.
