I love it. Been putting off real life to get killed over and over.

I love it too. I can only put off real-life so much at the moment, seeing as my second son was just born Monday. A ton going on in FFXIV as well, with the game changing patch recently released.

I read a few days ago that Penn Jillette's daughter is named Moxie CrimeFighter Jillette. Awesome.

It took me about a month and a half but I finally platinumed it. Game of the generation so far in my opinion. It still was far from perfect with problems I don't remember having such as cheap deaths because of poor camera angels (blacking out the screen during a fight as the camera got stuck on a wall) or really choppy framerates in certain places (Blighttown in particular).

Still, this game is just awesome. It really feels like a game made in an alternate universe where developers didn't change their design philosophies after the NES days. The game actually reminded me most of the original Zelda.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in a recent press release, the devs said that in looking toward the next game in this series, "after the success they've had with core gamers, we want to appeal to much a broader audience next time." Something along those lines anyway.

Now to be the bearer of good news (for PC gamers, anyway).

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition coming to PC in August.

I am pretty excited for the DLC,. I am replaying Demon's Souls right now and almost forgot how much I love it. Dark Souls is the superior game still.

I don't think I could play this on PC. I don't like to think of people playing this game with a mouse and keyboard. The controls are wonderful in the Souls games, the way you can feel your weapon sink into opponents or spring back when it hits metal, brick, etc. Rumble support is done wonderfully in these games and without a controller that is ruined.

If they were completely re-doing the graphics engine I would probablly replay it on PC (of course I would use an XBox controller though).

I prefer a keyboard and mouse to a controller 100% of the time. Rumble has always felt gimmicky to me, never felt it enhanced my experience, with a few exceptions. For instance, Condemned felt much more meaty to me on the PC than on the console, rumble notwithstanding. Also, a good subwoofer simulates that nicely.

Agree completely with Crush here. In any case, the PC port is setting itself up to be a disaster, they aren't going to support a KB+Mouse control scheme. They also aren't going to change the resolution or anything, so it'll still be capped at 30fps. It's going to be a straight port. Just meh.

Straight port or not, it is still the best game this generation. But yeah, no reason to buy unless you don't own a PS3 or 360.

I can't think of a worse port than Resident Evil 4. No mouse support. Evil dumbasses.

I guess I don't understand PC gamers. What's the point of playing a game like Resident Evil 4 (or any first/third-person shooter) with a mouse. Isn't that kind of like playing Duck Hunt with the gun pressed against the television?

No? Shooters are way better with mouse / keyboard, I hate playing them with a controller, it's so clunky.

You can get microfine control with a mouse if you have a decent mouse. Try changing your aim from one window to another at 300m out zoomed in and taking a shot without autoaim on a controller.

Agreed. A mouse is as skill based as a controller. Most console games have that aforementioned aim assist, sometimes hardwired in the background and not optional, whereas a pc user will always have to rely on their own dexterity.

I particularly hated playing Time Crisis(or 2 or 3 or whatever it was) on the old Xbox. It was a fun game, but the constant auto centering that couldn't be turned off was absolutely terrible, and I never managed to finish the game because of it. More effort does not translate to more fun, or reasonable difficulty.

I was just thinking how seldom it is a new game is announced that I find myself counting the days until it is released. As soon as the official release date is revealed, let the countdown commence.
