Going with the former, since a monthish ago when people started talking about this I've thought it was a terrible idea. _________________ "The problem with quotes on the Internet is the validity of them." -Abraham Lincoln |

Quote: | It’ll be a World of Warcraft style game. That’s not based on an analysis of the facts and careful comparison, that’s based on the fact that it’s described as having World of Warcraft-style mechanics. Toolbars with skills loaded onto them, third-person perspectives for all and a concession to classes and levels. |

The game is being developed by Zenimax Online Studios, so Todd Howard actually has no hand in its design. _________________ "The problem with quotes on the Internet is the validity of them." -Abraham Lincoln |

Well that's good news. Still, following the WoW structure doesn't make me terribly excited. Not that any MMO format makes me terribly excited, not really my thing. I was pleased as punch when they refocused the WH40K MMO into a single player experience with multiplayer bits. _________________ "The cheese stands alone." - Madhatte |

It's pretty so far at least. _________________ "People really don’t like to hear success explained away as luck — especially successful people. I think I did as well, but I didn't get sort of confirmation or anything. Once I clicked the "Complete Beta Application" button it did gray out though. Guess we shall see. _________________ "People really don’t like to hear success explained away as luck — especially successful people. Looks like the Beta singup page doesn't care for Chrome. Worked fine for my in FF. _________________ "People really don’t like to hear success explained away as luck — especially successful people. I used Chrome and it worked fine.
Can't imagine I'd play a lot, but it'd be neat to check it out. |

Worked in my Chrome, too. _________________ Core meltdown (commonly known as a meltdown) is an accident scenario in nuclear reactors, and is one of the possible modes of failure for light water reactors, during which the reactor pile turns into a pile of reactor.

So this video highlight where they're at right now:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD7x1KF8N8o&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Honestly I am pretty impressed by this, but I'll try to hold back my hype until I learn more as time goes on. The combat looks true to The Elder Scrolls, nothing like typical MMO "WoW-style" fare, which is what caught my eye the most. Also it looks pretty damn polished for something they are planning to release in spring of next year, which tells me they are really putting in the time to make it good before launch instead of rushing it for cash.
All-in-all, this has me very intrigued at the moment, and I look forward to seeing more. _________________ "The problem with quotes on the Internet is the validity of them." -Abraham Lincoln |

Not a F2P. To start at least. I bet it goes that way eventually. _________________ Core meltdown (commonly known as a meltdown) is an accident scenario in nuclear reactors, and is one of the possible modes of failure for light water reactors, during which the reactor pile turns into a pile of reactor.

Not only is it not free to play, it has a price on box, a subscription fee AND a cash shop. All they need now is lifetime subscriptions at launch to complete the money-grab masterpiece. _________________ "The problem with quotes on the Internet is the validity of them." -Abraham Lincoln |
