Assassin game with magic, steampunkish dystopia. I loved it.

Almost finished with it. There are a number of people who are criticizing it heavily. I want to smack them all in the face with a ball peen hammer. It's great. You can definitely tell the very heavy influence of the Thief franchise(very similar world design, and some of the guys from Looking Glass worked on it). Even the song the guards whistle is the same. I don't find that to be a negative. I hope the guys working on Thief 4 are paying attention.

Yeah, tentatively, and stupidly, called Thi4f.

*There are a couple other similarities: 1. A monolithic religion that holds great independent power in addition to political influence, which opposes a supernatural entity, and whose scriptures are strikingly similar to the Hammerites'. 2. The same sort of class disparity/conflict, but a bit more mature in the delivery, better characterization of the mindsets.

I reinstalled Thief on my desktop due to this conversation. Got about 5 steps into the Keeper's tutorial missions before it locked up.

Going to try it again and try the normal missions and see if it's just something in the Tutorial portion.

Just finished it. Great game. But 60 bucks for 10 hours (would have been 8 or so without AFK's) is kinda lame. Hopefully the DLC will keep the fun rollin'.

Took me a lot longer because I like to go slow, be extra cautious and plan out all my actions, and find every last secret, event and gold piece.

I also tend to go for the Zen Mastery aspect of gaming.

I imagine you are still playing Daggerfall, then.

I have all 5 Elder Scrolls games installed on both my desktop and laptop. I tried to find workable copies of Battlespire and Redguard as well.

I downloaded Daggerfall recently. The process to install is crazy.

I liked Battlespire. There was also a Morrowind mod that recreated it to some extent. I'm not aware they actually finished Redguard.

I remember one of them was basically for the Ngage although it might have worked on other mobile platforms as well. I can never remember which was which though.

Bit late I guess, but I tend to play games late these days. Just played through the game and the DLC story. Really impressed, I expected to like it, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. The gameplay was pretty good, but the main thing for me was the world, the story and the characters were well-done and that's what made me enjoy it the most.

Highly recommend.
