My friends and I went to go see this opening night. It's a pretty good movie, but.....

Was anyone else incredibly pissed off about the Mandarin? A friend and I pretty much completely lost interest in the movie after they revealed the Mandarin was a fake. Is it too much to ask for a bad ass with magic rings?! A friend of mine told us they did it so they wouldn't offend anyone... but they'll tell a lil kid to quit being a pussy about his dad leaving?

Yeah I was pretty disappointed about that as well. The build up of a really cool villain was the biggest selling point for me.

I thought it was amusing once I stopped being thoroughly annoyed.

I enjoyed the movie but definitely didn't think it was as good as the 1st and 2nd.

While I was definitely a bit disappointed that we didn't get a story line of the Mandarin being the head of some huge conspiracy involving the previous two movies, I actually sort of liked the surprise direction they went with it.

I like the Extremis story. It did the same thing in the movies that it did it the comics; it made it clear that Stark needs to step up his armors. They could have probably completely left Mandarin out of the picture. I think Mandarin was being mentioned in the first movie as the head of the terrorists who kidnapped Tony. They could have done so much better with the character. I was actually hoping he'd end up as an Avengers villain.

I enjoyed the Mandarin twist.

I enjoyed pretty much everything about the movie other than the Mandarin twist. It was amusing but at the same time I felt they could have made the movie in a way that didn't turn Stark's archenemy into a complete joke.

I liked the Mandarin twist. I never liked the Mandarin anyway, so that might have something to do with it. Or the fact that I have never been a big Iron Man fan, so never really got invested in the storylines.

Most well done part of the movie was the marketing. My year or so of waiting... for nothing but disappointment. At least Star Trek delivered.

The one thing that made me sad is that we won't get to see the "Hulk-Buster" armor broken out in the next Avengers movie.
