I know that a few ideas have already been tossed around for next year. Feel free to toss out any other ones that you come up with and I'll add them to the poll.

Also, not sure if the 5th Annual BEB Expo is going to end with someone offering to host or not. I would imagine that, if someone does offer, their hometown/region will probably win out.

Edit: Updated the poll to just the two top choices. Post your votes again so we can start finding a place for the 6th Annual Expo!

I don't know if it is the ancient browser on the ExxonMobil laptop but I can't make the secon "Las Vegas" go away.

I fixed it. When I removed the second Las Vegas, it removed both. I readded it back. If you voted for LV, you will need to do so again.

Where are we thinking in Tennessee?

Thanks, Mongolio.

I'm really good with anywhere in the general Tennessee area, provided that we end up in one of the very cool log cabins that can be found there, such as this place: http://www.vrbo.com/180938

This would also be acceptable: http://www.flipkey.com/sevierville-vacation-rentals/p66651/

Reset the poll because it had messed up again. It was showing Vegas twice and only two of the other options. So if you voted before, you'll need to do it again.

Or, you know, we could just stay in any one of these: http://www.flipkey.com/galleries/castle-rentals

Then again, I may have to change my vote to Southern California: http://www.vrbo.com/357177

I am equally torn between Southern California and Tennessee. Vegas could be fun, those log cabins are calling to me Smile

Yeah, it really comes down to a choice between hanging out on the balcony with friends, looking out over the beach or hanging out around a bonfire with friends, enjoying being in the woods.

I'm really in favor of anywhere in the southwest, and here's why: we've done, in this order, the lower midwest (Austin), the northwest (Seattle), the southeast (Tampa), the northeast (Boston), and now the upper midwest (St. Louis), leaving only the southwest as a broad region to visit. In my mind, it looks a little on a map like tightening the lug nuts on a tire in a star pattern. Gotta give everybody a chance to be in driving distance!

I'm in Tuscon, but I'm thinking maybe somewhere near the beach in San Diego? There's lot's of nerdtastic things here in Tuscon like the BiosphereII and the Mt. Lemmon observatory. Not sure how much we'd get a chance to do over the weekend although we did manage to work some sight seeing stuff into our schedules during previous Expos. I can start looking around for stuff here or where ever you guys like.

Yeah, I've been looking at houses on the coast in the general San Diego area and there are some pretty amazing options down that way. And I think we've managed to work at least some local sight seeing into each of the Expos (such as the Dali museum in Tampa).

Also, I have family in San Diego that I haven't seen in over a decade (holy crap!) so I wouldn't mind having an extra incentive to get my butt out that way.

Oh another spot in Tuscon that Hatte at least would love. The UofA campus has an entire building devoted to dendrochronology.

4Bed/4Bath in San Diego. I'll call tomorrow and see about pricing options.

http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p127566vb

Also going to look at these for prices:

http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p391592

http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p224538vb

The third one has a price of $1,500 per a week for a group our size.

I'll talk to all three and try to get a tentative feel for it while we are still discussing city options.

Here's another one, on the shoreline, that would be great for us: http://www.flipkey.com/encinitas-vacation-rentals/p243080/

Few other possibilities in Southern California:

About as far south as you can get: http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p972297

Then we move a bit further north: http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p269463vbi
