I am pretty sure all of you would like Asheville, NC.

From what I have heard about other cities I would say it is similar to Austin and Portland.

I really do like NC. I'm sure we'll make it there sooner or later (Drew will be an excellent host).

Southern California has incredible houses on the bluff of the beach in Dana Point and San Clemente. We can zip line through the hills of Catalina Island, scuba dive the kelp forest, see other freaks on Venice Beach.

Tijuana is always an option if you're crazy enough. There are always surfing contests. We could probably rent a large boat for the weekend. Hell, we could rent two RV's and go anywhere!

If we had a little bit longer, like a week, the RV idea could be awesome!

Asheville is pretty awesome. And whenever that happens, I would likely take a few extra days and jaunt on down to Charlotte to visit my friends there.

So the general consensus so far seems to be SoCal?

One thing to keep in mind might be that Tennessee would probably be a bit cheaper, both for lodging and meals/booze: http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p390363vbi#rates

But yeah, I would say the general consensus so far is SoCal. Of course, we've only had about 1/3 of the people who may attend actually weigh in, either here or over at the Facebook page.

I would love to weigh in, but a)I have a terrible track record for attending, and b) I have no idea where to vote for.
I'll likely still be in Chas next summer, so if it is in NC, I will be easily able to drive up. But, I may be prepping to transfer to SoCal, so that could be cool too... So, yeah, ignore my input. It seems appropriate.

I'm still torn between the two. Both sound epic, both are close to different BEB members, and both have various other, distinct reasons, that make me wat to choose them.

Well, there is this: wherever we don't choose THIS year, we can go to NEXT year.

Top two choices time!

Okay people, we narrowed it down to Epic Log Cabin in Tennessee (or general region) or SoCal. Only one vote for everyone this time. I'm going to reset the poll on the main page of this thread. Please go back there and update your vote!

What region are we going to lower the property values of next year people?

Over on facebook the count is now 8-7 in favor of Southern Cali. Looking more and more like that will be the local for the 6th Annual BEB Expo!

I sure hope we get that place. I dunno why but somehow an island seems like a great idea.

I was about to say how much I wish it had a pool, like the place in Tampa. Then I remembered it was on an island...
